Hey guys... I have a mechanic friend who is going to fix my gf's air conditioner in her 97 Accord apparently she needs a "condenser" and "condenser cooling fan." He said it would be $100-$150 for the parts and $100 to do the job. I dont know much about cars but he said I can probably find the parts cheaper somewhere else if I wanted to. My girlfriend and I are both pretty broke college students and only have $200 for parts and labor. So can anyone give me links to where I can find these parts online for cheap... Im hoping to spend under $100 on these parts if possible. I have looked online but the parts look different on every site I go to so am worried about getting the wrong ones... if you guys can help I'd appreciate it... thanks.

oh btw im not sure if it matters but he said something about the fan being a "shroud" or something.

change it yourself..

condensor goes right infront of the radiator.. makes sure to be easy on the lines that go from ur compressor to the condensor..

 

that will save u money on labor.. those mechanics like to charge labor alot... lol.. i kno bout the automotive field and something what takes 15 minutes to do.. u get charge for an hour or 2 (whatever the book says)
