yea everytime i go to the yard i find 4 doors mostly but hatches too.. never once have i found a 2nd gen crx in the yard... ive even found a wagovan once... crx's are just a rare car and people dont normally send those to the junky...
Yea, they are usually stripped pretty fast in the junkyards. I found an ef hatch in my local yard and it was stripped all the way to the shell (no glass, suspension, or anything) I was able to flip the car over by myself; thats how stripped it was! Anyway, our cars are getting rare and finding parts is just going to get more and more difficult.
The answer to the OP's question is pretty simple. EFs are now two decades old and storing one in a yard takes up space. The same space could be holding a much newer car with parts on it worth a lot more money. There is now only one yard in all of OKC keeping EFs in stock and that is simply because the guy landed a massive amount of land right in the middle of the city and he can afford to have EFs taking up space. I have literally been laughed at calling around for EF parts. It simply isn't worthwhile anymore for many salvage yards.
