My red dash light with the seatbelt guy just came on a few days ago.
I have been reading posts on how to reset but, I have a few fears.

1. I have read to disconnect the battery for 3 minutes.
2. Have Auto Zone check your battery (main battery is 1 year old) is there another battery?
3. Take it to Honda for FREE and they will take care of this issue.
4. Any certain plugs or wires I should look for to inspect?
5. I don't have side air bags....just my wife.

I would like to just reset and see if the light comes back. If so, i'll take it to Honda. I have had many on-board issues go wrong with this car and resetting the CPU has worked fine. 99% of my issues have never returned.

So, if possible....help the newbie here.

Dont mess around and take it to the dealer. Red srs light means there is a problem and your srs is not going to work in a collision. Since your vehicle is out of warranty the dealer will probably have you pay an up front diag charge of one hour labor. But if there is a warranty extension or if it is related to a faulty seat belt you might get the repair for free. Please do not try unplugging, reseting, testing, or probeing any srs components if you do not have training in the area, cause air bags can cause serious injury.
