so i am new to this. installed my lc1 in my 98 integra and i think i was doing the free air calibration/heater calibration. anyways i went to the engine bay to look at my stock o2 sensor to see if i could get it from the top. i accidentally touched the wide band and it was hot as hell. hot enough to give me a nice lingering burn. should it get this hot?
my second question is i connected the brown wire from the wide band to the white d7 wire from the ecu. then i connected the yellow wire from the wide band to the db gauge. is this correct? i plan on running my wide band all the time, this is a perminate install.
my third question is the led status light, it only lights up when i press the buttong. should this light when the car is on? the only thig it does it light stedy when i push the button

well I have never touched my wideband once installed, but I would imagine the heater element would be rather hot.
I don't use this perticular unit, but the white wire is the narrow band that goes to em ecu and the brown sounds like the wide band signal that goes to the display/unit?

The sensor should be calibrated before installing it. And yes it does get hot. I forgot how I wired mine but my red LED light stays on all the time when driving. Yours is probably not on because you either did not install it properly or you did not calibrate it correctly.

hmmm. when i hit the calibration button it will blink during warm up then get solid once warm. i am not getting any error codes and the gauge goes from 7.4 to 7.7 free air so it seems like its reading. i have not installed it into my exhaust yet. but the let only lights up a long as i am holding the switch
what voltage are you reading coming off the sensor. also have you used datalog an adjusted anything on the wide band. just follow instruction that came with product. also does d7 go to d14 on obd 1 or where are you haveing the voltage sent from 02 sensor. cause in neptune you can read exact voltage from sensor. this will tell you if working. really need to hook up to the LC1 via serial. They are suppose to come set for gas but you can change all your voltages around. on the anolog signals.

I had a few problems with mine (nothing crazy like you got). but i hooked up all grounds like everyone said to on the innovate forum page of complaints. the serial port works great and i trust it. an other than it taking a few seconds longer than a thousand dollar sensor. the work great.

thanks for the info. i need to get new pins for my demon rtp board so i can throw it back in and see what it picks up for afr
the senors doesnt read until it gets hot. once its calibrated and u start the car it will read 7.4 for 30sec to a min before it will start reading. i almost burnt my hand first time...wear gloves.
