Tire size would help but I'm throwing my suggestion out there. kuhmo ecsta xs. $96 each for 215/45/16 I have a boosted integra and it used to just spin to limiter in 2nd gear and now with these I can actually go foward while spinning a little. They also have great reviews from auto x guys.

What kind of car (year, model, version)? What size are your wheels?

And "bang for the buck" is not generally a criterion for people who occasionally use their tires for road racing. Most such folks prefer tires with "more bang" even though they cost "more buck".

I can't say much about best priced tires that are good. But I do recommend Yokohama AVIDs or S-Drives, they are comfortable with a hard enough sidewall. Grips good and pretty quiet too. But if you race often, these tires wear out pretty fast.

Huh? The Avid is an all-season tire, good for folks who need to use them in snow or frigid cold as well as warm weather. And the S.drive is a summer tire, and lasts longer than the summer tires in the "extreme performance summer tire" category.

It's all relative, and depends on your priorities (e.g. performance vs treadlife vs purchase price, etc) and usage (track vs street, warm weather vs winter conditions, etc).

recommend me a set for 225/45/18

I generally run 615's but want to save a little money right now. I need a blend of streetable grip and some tires that will last a long time.

thanks

In that size, longer-lasting summer tires that have decent performance and are nicely priced include the Continental ExtremeContact DW ($139 at Tire Rack), Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 ($120 after rebate), and Kumho Ecsta SPT ($127).

What car uses 225/45-18?
