need pointers on a n/a build for track only
ok. a couple of friends and I are going to do a all motor honda build for the strip. need some pointers on what parts are good for great power for n/a since im used to building dd's. the goal for now is 300hp. we already have the car and suspension ready to go.
what block and head are best to use?
camshafts?
valvetrain?
pistons?
rods?
crank?
intake?
exhaust?
fuel components?
will hondata be a good start for tuning?
and anything else that would be best?

what's your budget?
what chassis do you have?
what have you built in the past?
what have your friends built before?
where did the 300-350hp goal come from?

remember this will be a track only crx.
thinkin 13 or 14:1 cr
i've built 5 b series n/a dd motors (ls, b16, 2 gsr's, and a poor mans type R)
money is no issue for us right now.

all that to say... it would be cool to see an all out V6 J-series set up for the strip... but the K20/24 would probably be the best fit for what you're asking.

The OP did mention it was for the strip. My buddy has the k24/k20 setup runs 10.7 with about 290 hp. Skunk2 cams, DTR header, not too sure about the rest of it.
If money's no object then try this:

Why limit yourself to a FWD CRX 4-banger if you can buy a high performance car that's got no question of performance capabilities?
Lemme guess, you mean "track" in terms of an extended 2-lane patch of asphalt 33.5 meters long and straight as a road in Kansas? That's a shame. If that's they way you want to go then you need to get a big turbo and a RWD Ford Foxbody. I can have respect for someone keeping 1200+whp and a short wheelbase under control over 7 or 8 seconds, not so much 200whp.
To each their own though I suppose.

I would go with a K24/K20 setup. Makes power very well.
well right now a have:
skunk2 pro 3 cams and valve springs,
b16 head with port and polish and 5 angle valve job,
sleeved gsr block.

do the research bro and u'll fined that u'll get the most power outta a K series you'll be maxed out at 300hp with a B series when 300hp on a K is mid way just my two cents btw the flatline boys have a k20 swap for sale haha
