Hello..ok i bought a jdm f22b sohc vtec to replace with my f22b2 in my 96 accord lx auto...i was told that i had to change out the oil pumps because of the crank postion sensor in the 96 n up accords, so i had the pumps changed, i also bought the correct ecu that i have to use, but im havin trouble finding out what distributor to use. I bought a 96 accord ex distributor but the plug dont match the engine harness out of my old motor because it has an external coil and the one i bought has an internal coil...so my question is do i need an accord ex engine harness? Is there anything else im missing to complete this engine swap? I want to keep everything obd2

Dude. seriously? you are pretty rude jumping on this guy's thread like this. Start your own or find one that fits your question and post there. This thread doesn't even have anything to do with your question.

depending on the condition of your engine i wouldnt recconmend doing it if ur motor has high miles but u can run a DSM set up its a good cheap set up you would need to run bigger injectors i think 390cc u can get thos off of a 1st gen gst eclipse or eagle talon tsi, stainless steel oil line running from ur oil pain so ud have to tap into it to ur turbo, walbro fuel pump u can get that off of slowboy racing.com,get new headgasket seals timing belt n all that good stuff i kno theres more but i forgot.just make sure you build ur engine if ur planing to boost high but if ur going to just slap a turbo on n not get any work done to ur bottom end and top end of your motor boost low like 9 at the most check cb7tuner.com in the forced induction section im sure youll find alot of things that are helpful the f22 is a hell of a motor to make power off of with ease hope this helps

Yeah, that's a good cheap way to start out. Remember that the hardest part is first getting your motor turbo'd. Once turbo'd, there's ALWAYS room for upgrades. About 5 years ago is when I first turbo'd my 1991 Accord. I used a 1G DSM manifold and a 1G DSM 14B turbo. Got it all for cheap off of a friend. Then I got a StealthMode oil feed/return kit, a Vortech 12:1 FMU (used stock injectors). I first pulled the motor out, replaced the head gasket, then put it all together and took it to get some charge pipes and my intercooler mounted. All-in-all, it ran just fine on about 7psi. Afterwards, you just gotta upgrade. I am now running a T3/T4, a chipped P28 tuned with Uberdata and 450cc injectors. Still.... after 5 years, running.... not exactly well... but running. Still running on the same tune I did when I was running the 14B, and the motor has seen 19psi several times (accidentally). It's just slowly fallen apart because I haven't really been doing any up-keep with it for about 2 or so years.

It's slowly falling apart because your original tune was based off a stupid FMU, stock injectors, and based off the air flow rates of the tiny 14b. Now you say you're running a t3/t4 based on the same tune? That's a mistake and a half.

This is why I hate these threads...the only people who reply are the people who don't have a clue on what's going on and lead the OPs down the wrong path.

Do your own searching and then come back with more specific questions. You'll be glad you did.

i guess it would depend on what you want in the end, u can get away with a junk yard turbo kit but how long it would last is another thing, from my own personal experience the only things i have bought used were the injectors and intercooler/piping... running a 14b at 10psi wont be the same as running a t3/t4 on 10psi... i wouldnt use a FMU cause it wont give u the results u are looking for, nor will your engine last long, spend the extra money on getting good quality parts, especially if u want it to last for awhile, ive used crome and am currently using hondata s300 and altho you get alot more options outta hondata ive seen 500+whp accords tuned on crome...so thats ur own choice...just research and use cb7tuner.com the guys on their know there **** and will be more then happy to help u out

Well maybe you didn't read my post properly. I said I started out with an FMU and stock injectors. Then I said I upgraded to a chipped P28 tuned with Uberdata. Yes, my tune is somewhat a shitty one, but it's worked good for 4 1/2 years! (Didn't run on an FMU for very long, just long enough for me to acquire a P28 w/ a tune) Running good for 4 1/2 years on anywhere from 7 to 19 (a few times) psi. And no, it's not a mistake and a half... But yes, it is "slowly falling downhill" because I haven't been doing any required up-keep with it (like retuning it after I put the T3/T4 on). However, like I said, my friend that did the tuning was no professional. He could not get the A/F ratio to run any better than 10.1... which is really rich... so therefore when the T3/T4 went on, I knew that it would still have enough fuel to somewhat compensate. And I was not posting anything to tell him what to do or how to do it, I was just merely telling him what has been done to an F22 and that they indeed CAN withstand a bit of punishment. All-in-all, I was just merely telling him my own personal experiences. Maybe he can learn from that.
