Default Best Repair Manual?

I have a 1996 Accord and am looking for a good, well illustrated repair manual. What manual would you suggest? A CD would be great because it allows me to print off certain pages, but I could go with a book also. Thoughts?

There's Haynes, Chilton, and Helms

Helms is the best

Never heard of Helms, i'll have to check it out. I like having both hanes and chiltons. i tend to like chiltons better for most things due to the breakdown of each model...hanes has alot of documentation though, but doesnt break things down as nicely and organized as chiltons imo. where do you buy helms?

I have the Haynes manual for my 1990-93 Accord.

I've never used the other manuals, but here's what I think about Haynes:

- unclear pictures. frequently they take photos of bolts (close-up) you have to get at without an establishing shot to show where they are overall. I'd prefer more diagrams instead of pictures really.

- the write-ups could be clearer, but they aren't bad. It can be tiring having to refer to another chapter (ie. "Refer to 4-11") only to then be referred to another chapter after another.

- sometimes it suggests a procedure which I'd never think of and it works great, other times I find a way to do a job much faster than the manual.

Anyone else using Haynes have similar experience?

Really, I'd imagine the best manual would be to have more than one.

nope, all you you need is one.... Helms

neither Haynes nor Chiltons compare to Helms. Once you see a Helms (which is a reprint of the factory service manual) you wont go back to either of the others.
