How is everyone mounting their Gforce Shifters?
I found my Gforce shifter in my room that I bought years ago. At the time when I bought it I could not figure out a way to mount it that it would not come out of gear from the engine movement. I know T1 has a kit out there to mount it but just wanted to see what other people did to mount the shifter?
I installed mines with the hardware/parts Tony supplied me and read the instructions, second one i didnt need instructions........Thanks Tony!
Very simple to set up, but tricky with the gear alighning, but weld and its on..........

We use the T1 shifter plate and T1 shifter rod with all of our G-Force shifters.. Plus, if you get the shifter itself from T1, he modifies it internally for more travel, which is a must..

I got one of the early setups and I don't think this was done. I may need this as I'm pretty close to the limits as is with the shifter....
i made my own but by the time you buy all the piecs to make it tonys kit is not bad price wise. its not hard to modify the shifter for more throw i replaced the allen screws with set screws and did some grinding maybe to much i had to mill the top plate a little so it would hit the stops and not the plate
I tryed to make my own but it was ugly and I wasnt going to use that on my car even if no one could see it.lol
Tony's piece is very nice and works awesome.

The early ones didn't have the modification, but the newer ones do.. I'm pretty sure he's modding them for more front and back travel.. I did a bunch of work on mine to get more travel in all directions, after seeing Aaron and Henry from Full-Race work on theirs, and having a cut open trans case half to see what was going on inside the trans..
Sorry to bump this up
But we are trying to setup my shifter now and same as whats written here the front and back travel is not enough.
The shift lever is hitting the top plate.
Do you guys only modify/grind/mill the top plate or are you guys modifying anything else?
Thanks!

if you take it apart, push it all the way forward and backward and youll see where its making contact. then grind that down to a 45* angle where its hitting. then youll have to cut some of the top plate out to get the benefit of the modification you did to the inside.
