I already bent it so that's not a option anymore the rattle always comes back

so is it not a a good idea to just remove it or not ?

the shield I am talking about is the rear one around the gas tank .

Get a new heat shield or cut it to fit properly. Fix it right.

I'm not going to be the one to tell you that it's okay to add a bunch of unnecessary heat to your fuel supply.
