Default mpfi swap, extra hose and extra plug

i know, another mpfi swap thread...

but here goes anyway

extra hose

This picture has a hose going from the intake manifold by cylender 4 to the throttle body, i think the right side where it connects to the manifold is where my extra hose goes... do i block one of them off or what?

Here is the extra plug, its coming from the back right side of the intake manifold, what does this plug go to?

the only other thing i was worried about was the fat hose that runs into the midle of the 3 hoses that goes on the front of the intake manifold, i got that going to the bottom of the manifold to the black box under it where the "candy cane" from the dpfi set up came from, i think this is correct

thank you!

i honestly can't make heads or tails of the hose routing from those pictures. like if i was there in person it wouldn't be difficult but trying to see numerous angles of something from a picture is quite difficult lol. i can tell you though what you should have. there is one fat hose that u turns from the intake manifold into the t-stat housing. there's a heater core hose that also goes to that area, and the 2nd heater core hose obviously goes to the side of the cylinder head. there should be a smallish coolant line that runs from the intake mani area, to under the throttle body, to the iacv, and then lastly the coolant pipe at the rear of the block.

in your third picture that is the connector for the fast idle control solenoid valve (ficsv). it's used in very low temperatures to allow a little more air in to raise idle. if you want to hook it up just use some existing wires like from the now unused tandem valve connector and then match them up the ficsv wire at the ecu. if you choose not to hook it up though, it will not adversely affect the way your car runs, nor cause a cel.

in the last picture i can see that you have the map sensor feed line tee'd into the line for the purge control solenoid valve. doing so might very well cause the map to get inaccurate readings. to be on the safe side i would give the map its own dedicated vac line.

also, judging by how you explained it, it sounds like you have the fat hose in the center of the front of the intake manifold hooked up correctly. it should drop down between the intake runners and connect up to the crankcase ventilation box.
