Broken frame weld nut
Any ideas or suggestions? My son was changing the lower left motor mount and broke the front weld nut and we can't get the bolt out. I can cut the bolt, but I will still need a nut in the frame to put the motor mount back on. I might drill a hole in the frame above the bolt so I can hold the nut to remove. Then I will just have to use a loose nut to put it back together. What a pain.
only wled the mount if you hsve too because 1 it is a rubber mount 2 it makes it weak unless you are a very good welder at a hard spot and 3 what happens when you burn it and it goes bad in a month? i would try heat torch and blaster for sure you could cut like you said and then just start the blot to get it straight and tac weld it once you have force on it it prolly wont move holding it would be a pain but better than burning a new mount maybe starting a fire by your fule lines and ruining a new mount
