Clutchmasters stage 3 or ACT organic street/strip??
Like it says, which one is more reliable? I will be using it for daily driving on a N/A motor. I've heard bad stuff about Clutchmasters and good things about ACT.
A friend of mine had a Cluthmasters Stage 3 on his 00 Si with I/H/E and Type-r valvetrain and he had it for about 4,000 miles and it started to slip pretty bad for being an aftermarket clutch. he now has ACT and it grabs nice and hard.
I ran a Clutch Masters stage 1 on a mildly modded motor for about 3 years and it grabbed very well. I believe you just have to break it in properly. I also ran an ACT clutch and its about the same. Both clutches grip very well and have nice pedal feel (street/strip).
thanks for the reply. I'm going to try the CM and see how it feels. I currently have an ACT6P and I hate daily driving it.
I ordered the HC5-HDSS clutch thru a good friend. This is the 92-01 Civic clutch on their website (www.advancedclutch.com), but it says all applications except 212mm DOHC (Swapping in the B16 next week) .... so Im guessing I screwed up, right?
What kit do I order, the one for the 6th Gen Si? I need to know asap so we can see if his distributor will buy back the other clutch so I can get the right one.
Thanks for the tips.
