They now make simple green wipes, they work really well for cleaning the engine bay

I just took some seran wrap and covered the battery, distributor, and airbox...then just put the power washer to that bi-otch

looks good,did you use it on your strut bar as well? Just wondering because that stuff can be kind of harsh on polished metals I would assume.

Reading this thread again it's kind of funny I'm asking about Simple Greening(?) an engine bay. So anyway,full strength and did you get it on the intake or the strut bar

 

We dont have simple green here in Australia so exactly what is it because atmo my valve cover looks like A$$ and I really want to clean it up

The Green stuff will not take the paint off... no matter how hard you scrub it. The valve cover in the picture is still red isn't it.

Might also think of covering your MC reservoir.

I do the same thing, then wipe it all down with a terry cloth. Funny, rodney still comments about my engine bay being less than antiseptic IHO. I'm always impressed with how clean it is in comparison to other R's and or cars.
