TYPE R with HID: 6000k, K2 vs philips
for those of you who have either one, how's the brightness at night?
for those of you who have seen both on them side by side(2 cars), which one is produce more light output and better vision at night?
for those of you who purchased either one, how much is a fair price?
On ebay, the 6000k philips is 425, and the K2 is 450.
give me your honest opinions please.
thanks

IF you want bluish/white "the way HID's should be lights" 4300k is where its at. Anything about 5000 and your on the border of ricedom.
Stick to 4300K OEM. After a few months of use the classic "electric" white/blue look becomes more prominent. This is a normal characteristic of HID bulbs.
My GSR appears like a Benz/Lex after only 2.5 months of normal usage, and this was never my intention. I can't understand why people want anything greater than 5000K. Higher Kelvin color also means less lumens. Besides, HIDs were made to improve lighting output in the proper housing/application, not to bling-bling.
But, to each his own.
