Default DIY: JDM DC2 Roof Console Holder

This is my first DIY and a fitting one because this is so easy to do. I have some time on my hands before my 2nd deployment. Alright here we go...

Install time: 10 -20 mins.
Tools needed: Philips head screwdriver, Flat head screwdriver
Optional: Flexibility ;-) you'll understand later...

#1: First thing first, is get your Flat head screwdriver and pry the gray piece that covers the three screws that hold the rear view mirror in place. Be careful not to damage the area around it, you can use a rage or soft cloth as no to harm your work area.

#2: Once you take the three screws out and remove the rear view mirror you, it should look like picture #3

#3: Remember that flexibility thing I talked about. I found it difficult for me to seat in the drivers seat and try to hold the rear view mirror in place along with the roof console holder with my right hand while I lined up the holes. To make things easier I turned my back toward the steering wheel and straddled in between the driver seats like I'm riding a horse. Line up the holes and put that Philips head screwdriver and those three screws to use!

#4: Now your all done! A nice extra feature to add to your R it can hold business cards, certain sunglasses, small maps, or a POCKET CONSTITUTION Just make sure the total weight isn't over 500g/grams or you may damage your new roof console holder.

PS: The sun-visors will interfere a little with roof console holder, but its no big thing to me. Thanks for looking, I will provide more articles in the future

To remove the gray piece without prying it off, just pull down on the rear view mirror. It will fall right off.

I did do just that at first I was like "Oh **** I broke another piece now I gotta replace another misalliance piece." then I realized I hadn't I thought it might be easier for people to just pry at it.

I'll take one with the hatch open tomorrow, they aren't' expensive, leastwise in my eyes http://www.jdmgoodie.com/category_s/8.htm Then again the price has gone up since I made my purchase. The value of the dollar is horrible, and/or demand is up for these type of products and supply is low also check on EBAY there is a good chance you can find it cheaper than the above link.

Whatever the roof console holder dimensions can hold refer back to #4 for a few of those items.

Well, there's a nice cardholder for my insurance card and a slot for my registration.

You can put car and/or audio amp replacement fuses, dome light bulb, a mini LED flash light, an unopened CS-X3 air freshener replacements in the RCH. The list could go on....heck the car is the new bar, pour yourself a drink out of a mini bottle from the Roof Console Holder! I do not condone that kind of behavior
