i have a crx with a cx bottom block d15y8, with a crx si head. i have 2 wires hanging in the back of my block but i see nowhere to plug them in. am i not looking hard enough or is it in a differnet spot?
if its a 2 wire connection, then it goes to a sensor (purge solenoid i think its called) that is located on the far right corner of the intake manifold. pretty much to the right of the idle air control valve.

its not a 2 wire connection for say, its 2 wires each on there own lil connector. ones yllw/grn i believe. will double check both colors ina min
you're thinking of the fast idle control solenoid valve from the old engine. the new engine might have a purge control solenoid valve, but that old 2 wire connector for the ficsv is not meant to hook up to it.

the fan is on a switch. the people i bought this car from had it like this. my crx is torn apart, heads off. would u be able to help me out at my house if i was to come get you? i really need someone that knows what theyre doin lol
pretty much your going to have to do 1 of 2 things:
1. find a thermostat housing with the fan switch on it (92+ civics will have them), or
2. tap a hole and run an aftermarket switch for your fans.
then you will just need to wire it in to your loose wires.

if you had posted this earlier in the morning i could have no problem. i dropped off my girl to visit her family for a couple days in delhi.

at this point i recommend swapping in a new thermostat and gasket since you will have it opened up and need to burp the system to get all the excess air out.

and dont forget to reconnect the fan motor plug to your harness. im assuming that because its connected to an aftermarket switch the plug will be disconnected.
but yes, you should be good to go.
