Default Buddy club spec 2 exhaust springs

the springs are on the far right.

anyone know where to get those springs or know the specifications? how long are they and do you pull them from ear to ear w/ pliers?

buddy club themself is 20$ and takes time and shipping

i've got some springs at a motorcycle shop b4 and i shot that thing across my garage and popped a hole somewhere...

any hardware store didn't have any either.

thanks

Yeaaa those are a bitch. If u don't have em I would us metal wire like mentioned above maybe temporary solution.

I had the exact same springs on my BC GT2 exhaust. The exhaust will still feed into the tube about 4 inches and fit flawless in diameter after a while. I would say u could get away without them as they didn't seem to serve too much of a purpose other than some peace of mind. Keep an eye on it

do you have pics of them? i might go check out some other motorcycle shops again.

how do you pull the springs from ear to ear on the exhaust? those springs have so much tension that if you dont grip enough they shoot off and could possibly kill something lol... from wat i've see i blew a hole thru a few cardboard boxes in my garage and it shot fast...

also pulling them is pretty hard as well due to that

I'm pretty sure they have some at my local OSH hardware store. They might not be high tension though. Any motorcycle dealer parts dep. should have them too. Otherwise, just spend the $20 and call it a day lol.

If you can't do it with a screwdriver, try a drum brake tool from any tool store specifically the one that looks like a pigtail and pliers:

is this safe?

the spring has a good deal of stretch to get on there especially on the other ears

looks good to me. it's suppose to have a lot of tension to hold the two exhausts together. depending on what they're made out of, they could wear out from heat or rust in a few years but nothing to worry about now. good job getting them on.

why not weld them where they are? what's the advantage of having springs that hold the exhaust together?

the point of not welding them is so you can take it apart... instead of having to cut the entire thing when the time comes to change or smog etc

oh, nice, good point, well in that case just buy the springs, but if it were me i would just weld them on. you could always just pop off the hangers if you need to put in the stock exhaust back on.

not necessarily, pulling off the whole exhaust if its all welded would be pretty hard. how will you get the axle back part off ? its very angled and has U bends

there are 2 sections of the spec 2 that require the springs and 4 springs total

mid pipe to S pipe S pipe to axle
