I currently have a 95 Del Sol. While it is a very fun car, I can't decide if I want to keep it for a while or trade it for a Civic Coupe/Hatch/Integra... What would you do?
would appreciate some good opinions and arguments for/against. thanks
D16y7 w/y8 IM. Factory B16 car, d16 was in it when I traded for it.
GSR front and rear brakes. Eibach springs, toxico springs(pardon the spelling),
sk2 shifter, no name exhaust, Replaced/repainted interior(except for seats).

i would put more work into it then do what you want with it. a days worth of work and the engine and tranny are out stripped and painted back to the right color. paint the intake black. get some speakers and covers. and matching rims.
you will get a lot more money if you complete it before you sell it cause really its all there just half-assed.

First you are going to have to find someone to trade with before you can say keep it or trade. Then we would have to see what you are getting. Why not clean it up yourself rather that trade for unknown problems?

The pictures that are up now are after a ton of work. I don't have anything trade wise to compare it to, due to I have not offered to trade it off yet. I am trying to get a consensus of thoughts and ideas about whether to bring it back to respectable ranks or just cut my losses now and get a coupe/hatch or bump up to an integra. Then again it all depends if I could trade it off for something decent, or would the trade vehicle be worse than the one I have. I am all about projects ( I have been thru this journey with many older GM V8 cars), but I am not sure about this one. The more you dig deeper into a basket case car, the more you kind of get discouraged. Thanks again for the comments and suggestions.

By the way, here a couple of pictures of when I first got the car. As you can see, it has come a long way. I started on it because I wanted to bring some dignity back to this once great car.

i voted keep it so you can do work to it, then sell/trade it after when it looks much better.
del sols are sick when you do them right. i bet if you dumped about $800 and a few hours into it, you could have a nice sol. pull the engine and strip off the blue paint. its free. only costs a few hours and some sand paper. pull off the ugly seat covers. a set of oem wheels wouldnt cost much. you can buy a decent suspension for about $500. dont let a honda go to waste! bring it back from the dead!
I'd keep it if it were me. Where I live Del Sols are getting very rare. I only see a Del Sol every once a blue moon. And if I ever do see one, they're either beat to hell or trying to replicate megatron. Civic and Integras of all generations are a dime a dozen. If you wanted one, you can find one. This is excluding rarer model types or the type r of course. Just keep it!!
This. I have not seen to many clean looking del sols.. take your time, save some money, accept the criticism and learn from it. Most members here in this forum usually give good criticism that can help you make your car look better, and 99.9% of the time they are right

I have spent some money on it, nut I am at the point of whether to get rid of it for a better platform to build on, or dive straight on in.
