Default 07 si wheels on ep3...help

Anyone on here currently running this setup? what spacers are you using in the front in order to clear the caliper bracket? I'm just wondering if i can get away with using a 3mm spacer or if i have to go through the hassle of having to put in extended wheel studs if i have to run a 5mm eibach spacer.

You should just get a hub centric bolt on wheel spacer. Those cheap cast aluminum spacers that don't bolt on to the hub are worthless and prone to braking. I have seen a lot of people lose wheels and other stuff because those cheap spacers crack and then fall out while driving and then the wheel starts wobbling and stuff.

Baer Brakes does make those simple style spacers in billet aluminum and they run around $50 a pair. Those would be the absolute bottom line of what I put on my car. At least being billet they will be a little stronger.

And make sure you run a quality extended stud if you do. Something like ARP.

yeah thats definitley why they fit....i've heard people with the rsx base running a 3mm spacer and the si's fit perfectly, i'm just not sure if i'm willing to risk my safety by running a cheap aluminum spacer...has anyone else used these wheel spacers without any problems? i'm not by any means trying to make my car be "hellaflush" or anything, i just want these wheels to fit really really badly.

I wouldn't risk it. Most tire shops won't even install wheels with the spacers too for that reason. They don't recommend it and don't want to be liable.

Check out some of the Eibach or H&R spacers. For around 200 bucks you can have really nice high quality spacers.

Good luck though! I hope you can make them fit!

ok si i've decided that i am going to go with t1r 3mm wheel spacers which are made from forged aluminum and are made under ISO 9001 Quality Assurance and meet japanese industrial standards. seems alot better compared to that ebay crap. thanks for the help everybody, it's very much appreciated.

Where'd you get them and what did they cost? I'm looking for a set of spacers as well.

Just to clear this up for future reference if anyone wants to use the 06+ civic si wheels. When i first put them on the front they were grinding off the caliper bracket just the slightest bit so i ordered a 3mm T1R wheel spacer from evasivemotorsports.com for around $75 + shipping. put the spacer on yesterday and the wheel cleared the bracket by about a millimeter. With this small of a spacer, the wheel sits on the hub just fine and i can get a good 7-8 turn out of the lugnuts and also there's no vibrations when i'm going 60+ mph so i'm sure this is going to work out fine.

here's some pics i snapped of em.

about 1mm clearance
