Well for anyone of those swaps u will have to convert your dual point fuel injection to multi point fuel injection there's a DIY on the mpfi conversion just use the search. And my opinion is to do a ls or b16 with this swaps you will need motor mounts shift linkage ecu and some patience but if you plan to go with a obd1 motor than I suggest getting a obd0-obd1 jumper harness you will also need axles for those swaps and as for the d series swap u just need to bolt it in and of course do the mpfi conversion and if your using a vtec motor and your still obd0 you will need a pr3 ecu if your gonna b obd1 than a p28 will do. Hope that's the info your lookin for if not ask away
yes zactly what i want asking for. thank you. im almost sure im gonna do a b16 swap. and hell yes i hate the dual point ive been looking for a mpfi but not to sure if i wana buy used or buy aftermarket skunk2 one. just gotta come up with the money haha and one more question... il get about 2-3 hours to work on this a day how long should it take me? (this will be my first swap btw)
Well let's say your gonna do the b16. So if u have everything you need and have all the info the mpfi conversion should only tak a couple hours now I suggest pulling the motor and getting the b16 in and then doing the mpfi but you could pull the motor and put the b16 in with axles and shift linkage all bolted up in 2-3 hours if you know what your doing. If you had everything you needed and didn't run into any problems you could have it finished in 6 hours. It took me 4 hours to do a ls swap and mpfi conversion but I knew exactly what to do and it did help that I had the tools to complete the project but good luck bud and I would like to see pictures of tour progress
well im definitely looking into the b16 it looks like a very solid engine and a pretty common engine to swap in. and thank you for the advice it was duely noted. soo im gonna need new hubs to fit the b16 axles right? cuz im sure the splines arent going to match up. well il have my auto shop with a crap load of tools so im just gonna have a hard time with the lack of experience with pulling and putting the motors in and out. Ive pulled my tranny out about 4 times soo im getting good at that and will have that part down hahah but i definitely will be putting pics and posting my progress. but im not starting on this project till next year cuz im currently a junior just trying to get a bit of a head start. and thank you for the advice and the help. makes thing much easier!
