h23a1 or h22?
There's a 92 prelude auto tranny being sold on craigslist near me for dirt cheap, I only care about the motor in it. I've looked all over the internet and forums and found that the 92 auto tranny is an h23a1. Now I was hoping for the h22a but both motors are closed deck which is what I want. And from what I've researched it seems the h23a1 is more for vtec N/A than turbo. BTW I'm building this motor ground up, everything to handle turbo with no worries. But if I'm building the motor ground up will it matter which motor I get? I'm going to talk to this guy tomorrow (saturday the 17) so quick feedback would be great. Thanks and I'm only posting this cuz I need some experienced input quick, otherwise I would research for a couple more days or over the weekend and really narrow it down. Thanks again.
ok so forget this post cuz I'm now gonna do some more research on the f22 motor cuz i've been hearing it is also an option. I plan on building whatever motor I'm getting for a 9:1 compression ratio with everything being rebuilt from ground up. I wish someone could make a thread on all the possibilitys of each motor and the pros n cons. But for now I will do more n more research because a lot of money will be involved in this project and I want to do it right the first time. And my bad on the h23a1 saying vtec, I know its not and that was noob, but thanks.
