full clockwise would be 24 on a 1-24 scale where the first 16 settings are the only active settings.

go full counterclockwise to go full soft and add clicks till it feels like you want.

harder rear will induce oversteer.

I run 4 front/6 rear on the streets and 8-10 front and 14-16 rear

jeff652 - so you run softer in the rear than the front? If you don't mind me asking, why? do you have a proble with oversteer??

I also start at full stiff (clockwise - thet farthest it will go - full right) then click downward to the left (couter-clockwise) for softer settings.

I usually run 10 clicks left for the front and 8 clicks left for the rear. This is for street.

For track - I run 7 or 8 clicks to the left for front and 3-4 clicks to the left for rear.

For strip I run 15 for font and 1 for rear.

Jordo - but doesn't that induce understeer??? you are essentially making the front stiffer than the rear

turning full counter clockwise is actually 24 clicks stiff not the normal 16. THe shocks are rebuildable to 24 clicks but only have 16 adjustments. I have been advised by TEIN in the past NOT to pass 16 click from full soft (Counter clockwise)

my apex n1 99 spec are annoying, i cant feel the clicks all that well, do you have to "click" for it to be at the next setting, or will it change if in between clicks?

THANKS JEFF652!!!!! - Its incredible the number of HA owners who do this the other way around. I've explained to them many time but it never sets in.

Most of these guys have had their suspensions for over a year now and have been doing it incorrectly. they all have been starting at full soft!! Imagine what they have been missing.

When I set mine to 16 all the way around, the suspension feels too too soft. Alot softer than stock. Imaging setting it below that!!!

I know most of you have been very careful in keeping the clicks below the limit but you may not knowingly caused some damage already.

Thanks for the PDF!!

I learn something new everyday. This brings up so many thoughts. What will the car feel like when done right. Could there be shock damage . . .

THanks to Jeff for the info.

Nick I don't recall you correcting us on this topic around here before

What does it matter what end you start at? As long as you've got it set where you want it, there shouldn't be any problems...

No really because there are more "settings" then the shock is designed to operate in. You run your shocks in these settings (full counter clockwise) you can ruin the valving in your shocks.

According to the TEIN Rep at TEIN USA you will ony ruin the adjuster **** by going past 24 and there isn't any real issue with valving damage.

Ashai - I didn't mean to come off as preachy but I recall telling a few members. No biggie. Have you tried it the other way? Try full stiff ..... let me know if you've been missing anything?

For the folks who adjusted from full couter clockwise, how difficult was it to "feel" the clicks being so low in the click range?? I know when I reach close to 14, I can barely feel the clicks.

I will check out my settings on Friday. I am out of town and I have the wifes Chrokee.

I have notice the clicks on my HA's are harder to feel than the clicks at full soft on my NA's were. I just thought it was the shocks. GO figure this could be sweet.

We have a NIGHT auto-x here on Saturday so I will try them out there.

So which is the correct way?

Go full stiff and then dial back or
vice versa?
