i tested battery.. i havent pulled alternater off yet but thats my next step . the battery drains all the way over night i put my truck to it and have to have it hooked up for like 10 mins or so then try start the crx... i replaced the driver door jamb switch i will see what happens over night when i try to start it... alternator does make sense becuase that would mean the battery isnt recharging but if it was the alternator it wouldnt start at all and when i take jumper cables off it would shut off...

no it wouldnt. the car would stay running. once you jump it let the car run for about a minute or so. then take the positive terminal off the battery while its running. if it stays on the alternator is fine. if it shuts off then the alternator is bad.

my car was doing the same thing. it ended up being the tac i hooked up. i put it in a fuse that stayed on all them time on accident. check and see if something like that is happening.

if your alternator is good you deff need to look into a parasitic drain... very common place is any aftermarket headunit... i know from person experience some dumbass wired in one to my last car and the battery kept dieing turned out it was constantly getting power. Or also if you have subs or any lighting check the power your drawing you might be pulling more than your alternator can provide

I think you should try to recharge your battery and maybe see if your radio is directly hooked up to battery.Your door switch could be bad too!

hey, ive got 2 CRX's both DX but one 89 one 91.

when i got the 91 it was doing that clicking your talking about, but normaly had the same things this guy is talking about.
https://honda-tech.com/forums/showthread.php?p=22203534

beeps from rearview mirror/ dash and the light blinks at you when driving.

well my 91 did it first, i checked all the normal stuff. finaly found it was coming from the seat belt system. unplugged it. problem fixed. it seems to be a always open switch, and only closes with power ( like a relay ) so when its closed, it drains the batt.

long story short, the 91 hasnt given me a problem since.
but the 89 is just now acting up. im going to pull the door cover off and unplug the sensor today, and see if this is the fix.

ill up date after im done Cheers

yeah what he said ^

the seatbelt retractor mechanism drained my battery a few years ago.
Took it to the dealer, asked for new seatbelts and retractors and they replaced it for free (as it wasn't functioning right) and that fixed my draw.

you can prevent a dead battery in the meantime by pulling the horn fuse from under the hood ,

yep, i undid the passanger and drivers side plugs in the door. there are 8 wires, 4 for each plug.

i undid the passanger side, and the clicking stopped.

didnt have a problem till i undid the drivers side.
then i got the seat belt blinking light.

the drivers side does the clicking too but its alittle odd.

i just have a feeling that if i bring my crx to the dealler they will laugh and tell me to get that Frankenstein off there lot.

so yea. mabey this will help somone that only has a problem on there passanger side. ( like my 91 has ) others that have it on both sides can hope the dealer will fix the problem.

later guys, and im glad i could kinda help sorta kinda.

ps. what exactly do those door clicks do? engage the seat belts to retract, or something?
