Need info!!! 99 civic si blue all STOCK!!!
Hey everyone, I'm sort of new to this form and was wondering wat y'all think about a 99 civic si stock that has never been swap its motor. This is not wtb form. This person is selling for $5600 that only has aftermarket exhaust and the body and motor has about 125k. Also a new paint job he told me. Finding a stock motor inside a si is pretty rare to find these days. I want to know wat y'all think, is it worth it 5,6k? I'm not looking to be a total racer with mods. Just a daily driving car for me. Because I'm sort of interest in it. Heres his link.

From the looks of it, it has been repainted. Someone cut hole in the fenders for thos side markers. It's not totally stock, it has ricer tails and a short ram intake
That car has ABS, i didn't know the US model Si had that feature?

the us model doesnt have abs, so either hes bsing you or he doesnt have a clue about the car, and im going with the latter. and yeah that thing was prolly beat... i would offer him 4500 honestly
^^ from pics like that, too hard to tell
If i were you, i'd organize and mechanical inspection with a good shop, and maybe have them do a compression test also...it is money well spent!!!!!!
No used car is perfect, so what ever they find wrong with the car, you use that as leverage against the asking price
If the car is really messed up, walk away, you will have just saved yourself loads of future money/trouble
Makes sense, doesn't it

the motor maybe stock, but if the person isnt honest/familiar with the abs not being an option on the usdm em1, then what else are they holding back on? id offer about 4-4500 simply because a vin matching em1 is pretty rare, especially if it has a clean title.
but while looking over the car, ask some questions that could only be answered if the car was beat on, IE: whats the top speed, does it really rev to 8500 like wikipedia says, etc

Could always take it to shop and have them do some checks make sure nothing is wrong with it and then blue book along with your own opinion on car when you see it in person.
i dont see an abs box? things i noticed was the wheel gap ( lowered ) and appears the power steering resivior is slanted ... ontop of what was said.
but the ad doesnt indicate that its all stock... unless he changed it
