I wouldn't go bigger. when you thread the lug on make sure it does like 3 full rotation and then you should be fine. any bigger i would say get some extended studs

WRONG, WRONG, WRONG!

Depending on who you talk to, you need somewhere between six and seven full rotations on your lug nuts to be safe. If you only have three rotations, your wheels have a very good chance of coming loose. Don't do it!

Yes, extended studs with open-ended lug nuts. But you can use the stock wheel studs IF you have at least 6-7 full turns on the lug nuts. (Three is not enough.)

i didnt think 3 was enough, just doesnt seem right anywway. May be he got mixed up with a rule of thumb for 3 threads on a sheet metal screw

u need at least 6-7 rotations, unless u want to check your nuts every week...but i wouldn't bet your life on remembering.

i have 7 mils stock studs. all i have to say is dont do it! havent had a prob but not a good idea.

I have 5mm on mine with aluminum lugs and have driven on them that way for over a year. 5mm makes me a little nervous, so I'm sure 7 is too much. I just make sure my lugs are tight every couple weeks.
