okay i have a 96 civic dx 2d and i was wondering if there was any way to
tell if your inner tie rod is bad

 

by jacking up ur car and see if there is play

 

r there any like sounds cuz im tryin to tell if its an inner tie rod or wheel bearings

 

You need to jack up the car and try to wiggle the tire side to side. If there is any play, look where the boot and inner tie rod is. If there is any wiggle/play there, the joint is bad and will need to be replaced.

if the wheel wiggles and the tie rod doesnt = outter/tie rod end

if the wheel and tie rod wiggles = inner tie rod

if both wiggle = bang head to wall
