got a fresh set nitto tires from a buddy, one had a slash in them but it didnt go all the way through, he told me itll be alrite to drive on them. i just want to make sure

Hard to tell. How thick is the chunk. If it were mine, I would probably keep it bc im cheap. If its a DD I guess you could get away with it. Dont take my word for it though.

if a bubble develops get a new tire. other than that i'd ride on it.

 

Run it til it blows... don't curb that tire.

 

I have a tire like that and I have been using it for over a year and everything is fine, I drive the car pretty hard too.

Just make sure to take a look at it every once in a while.

 

If there's ANY damage to the sidewall, you risk a blowout. I wouldn't drive on that.
