Default Best tires for light weight wheel (or just in general)

I am getting a set of Rota Slipstreams for my EG 94 Civic Si. I can't decide between 15" and 16". I want to know your opinions on the pros/cons versus both and which tires are going to make the best performance/daily driver tire. Thanks for your input. (and by which tire, i mean size and name) Thanks

15", I think 16" will really slow you down. If you really don't care about performance, or have a swap for some DOHC goodness where you won't notice the weight as much, maybe 16".
I think 15" look fine.
205/50/15 Falken Azenis. Be careful in the rain.
Not for the snow either.

Yea, i was kind of wondering about the Azenis performance in the rain. I searched for THAT and couldn't find it. I found things about its dry weather performance, but nothing about it in the rain. I am going for a b16a, and i like the way the bigger wheels look with those 4-wheel disks. But if anybody could tell me how the Azenis do in the rain. Thanks. Oh and i'm getting Rota Slipstreams, so going from 15 to 16 isn't that much of a weight gain at all. The 16s only weight around 12lbs.

My Azenis handle just fine in the rain.

I have owned a lot of tires in my years of driving civics, and the Azenis are by FAR the best tires I've ever driven on in terms of grip.

Do they last long?

Nope.

I'm sorry but the Falken Ziex ZE502 suck ***** compared to the Azenis. I've owned both and the Ziex ZE502 are horrible in terms of grip. they might last long, but they sure don't handle for ****.

If you want a tire that will last longer, then you might want to look into some Kumho Ecsta 712, Dunlop FM901, or the new Yokohama AVS ES100.

Good luck!

I sorta agree with B18C5-EH2.... that the AZENIS RULE!
My Azenis handle just fine in the rain. I have owned a lot of tires in my years of driving civics, and the Azenis are by FAR the best tires I've ever driven on in terms of grip besides any R compound tires .

Do they last long?

Yes, considering I toasted my Advan AO32R in just 6000 miles!

if you want another similar poerforming tire as the Azenis you will need to spoend more money. If you need a longer lasting tire, you will sacrifice performance too... not good. You need the most out of your tires, so go with Azenis, please!

Aslo, get a 15" wheel, would ya? ****, the 16" Azenis will barely fit on a Civic, plus it is significantly more expensive and is a slower setup
