2 o2 sensors
ok this is my first eg and it had a header on it with a o2 sensor in it and there is a second o2 sensor just hanging there most likly from the stock manifold and of course there is also a CEL is there any way to loop the signal from the first o2 to the second o2 to atleast clear the code ? or were is the second o2 sensor suppose to reside? any help would be great
if by eg you mean 92-95 civic then you have an obd1 ecu which only utilizes 1 oxygen sensor. previous owner probably just had a header lying around and left the 2nd o2 in there to plug up the hole.
no that won't work. the 2nd o2 reading is looking for a change in the exhaust hydrocarbon content after its passed through the catalytic converter. if you tie the second o2 into the first o2's readings, the ecu will interpret it as the equivalent of running with no cat at all, which as you know will throw a code.
alrighty man thanks for the help i guess when the previous owner had a exhuast shop make the system the left the second o2 sensor out cause its just dangling in the engine bay and cel light is on of course.. im need to this obd1 obd2 thing but it there a way to chip the ecu to elimiate that o2 sensor you seem knowledgeable

Try this. Tricks the engine into thinking the sensor is reading perfectly:

or convert to OBD1 and eliminate that sensor altogether
