Need some help painting a new hood and bumper, couple questions
I got my replacement hood and bumper the other day and they came in that black-ish color.
I was wondering, that is black primer on the hood and bumper right?
I'm not gonna color match the rest of the car, so what would be the best way to just get a flat black look out of them both that will last and hold up to abuse? If I were to rattle can it and use something like General Purpose DupliColor Flat Black, would it be better to also use a clear coat or no?
Edit: Oh and does anyone know if Dupli Color sells those no gloss/low gloss clear coats in a rattle can?

first are the parts aftermarket or oem replacement? if oem the hood is Ecoat and the bumper is raw. bumper needs scuffed and an adheasion promoter applied before any sealer or paint goes on. the hood you can use ppg sealer on it w/o any sanding it chemically bonds. the best way for the "flat" look is color then clear but use a flattening agent in the clear
