how to remove a torque converter???? HELP

Default how to remove a torque converter???? HELP

im replaceing a engine for a friend but i got stuck on how to remove the torque conerter, does anyone know how to remove it?

remove the lower transmission flex plate cover and turn the motor over by the crank bolt a little at a time to get the torque converter bolts out. it has been a while since i did it my self but you might be able to get them out from the starter hole as well. i know thats the other side of the flex plate but for some reason i think the last one i did was like that on a acura vigor. i know the vigor is a whole different car with a 5 cylinder front wheel drive and an axle shaft passing through the oil pan but it was a honda so maybe others are like this also. that was an automatic trans obviously but it was the last automatic trans i removed and that was like 18 months ago

ok thanks that wired this is the first time i do a automatic swap so its a whole different story for me lol thanks btw......

no problem. pm me if you get stuck. i'm guessin youre doing this without a repair book LOL. i check the post throughout the day so you shouldnt have to wait too long if youre stuck. i literally check posts about 40 times a day at a minimum
