5th gen. The thing on the front bumper?

What's the tube thing on rubber mounts on the back of the front bumper? A damper with water in it for sharp turns! Or what ?

Its an idle damper. Its a heavy weight. Its supposed to soak up idle vibration. I think there is one on the trunk lid too. Accords have them as well, but in a different configuration.

Would it be a big deal to get rid of them to save weight? The trunk one I wouldn't think there would be a problem since people get carbon trunks.

You mean its still on there? Nothing wrong with putting the 5th gen on a diet. There are some other great ideas in the FAQ section on how to lighten your lude. Check it out.
