i have two ten" w6 in my car the box is a ground shaker... does anyone know if a smaller box will fit my subs cuz the groundshaker box is real deep and takes alot of my trunk up i have a daughter so im tryong to fit her stroller in the back... fyi i have a 05 honda accord sedan...please any info will help
Im not familiar with those boxes since I always make my own custom ones but for the 10w6v2 Sealed box you need 0.693 cubic feet for each sub or for ported you need 0.818 cubic feet for each sub. these figures include the driver displacement
Here is the owners manual that lists the figures: http://mobile.jlaudio.com/pdfs/7954.pdf

JL's like ported enclosures. They work "ok" in sealed enclosures but do really well in ported. If your looking to decrease airspace you might look into a different sub.

Thats is why I recommended getting a different sub. I have plenty of experience with JL W6 subs. While they can fit in tight air spaces they like large ported air spaces. Just not going to get the best bang for your buck with a W6 in a small enclosure.
If you insist on having a JL they make a sub that is designed specifically for tight air spaces. You might try that.
