I'm not sure what ECU is a P13, but you would need to get the ECU chipped with a basemap for the H22. And what H22 are you using? JDM? USDM? Also if your car is a 97 then why would you have a P13? Unless your saying that is what came with the H22?

If its the ECU that came with the H22, you are fine with the OBD2 to OBD1 adapter harness to run it in your OBD2 car. If its not than you will have to source the ecu or just chip it. Im sure that ecu you have is H22 prelude right. Just plug it in and run the Harness and the wires needed to hook it up. I do know from experience it intails alot of cutting and chopping and extending of alot of wires. I know the benifit of this swap is great but the time is pointless. I would rather just do a dirty B then deal with this swap again. Specially with the axles. you either have to custom one out of an accord, prelude parts or other axles peices, i went the route to buy the RAXLES axles from ebay,. that was joke, 3 times later and a few weeks i get the right axles

The P-13 is the stock OBD1 Prelude H22 ECU. If your ecu has (4) plug slots instead of (3) the 4th slot is for 4-wheel steering (just ignore it, you don't have to do anything with it).
You still have to pickup 3 or 4 wires for Vtec if your civic originally didn't have vtec. Also, I bought a jdmshit harness and it's not pinned correctly unless you had an original vtec civic. I had to change 3 wires / pins I think. It took me days to figure out why my car wouldn't start. Just use the harness youv'e got and the H22 ECU. I used Hasport mounts (only thing available when I did it) But I would use the steel mounts as they are 1/3 the price of Hasport. I also used Gator axles. Good Luck & be Patient, It's not that hard.

p13 came in obd1 as well as obd2 if u plan on staying with obd2 make sure ecu is from a 97 down. all later years have immobilizer which u will have to bypass or have the key that matches the ecu
HERE IS HOW TO IDENTIFY ECU TYPE

If you have a 97 prelude motor and ECU that should be OBD2A, the same as your 97 car. Then you wouldn't need the conversion harness. I think OBD1 was 92-95 ? then you would need the harness. I used my civic car harness with a 92-95 h22a & ecu which is why i needed the conversion harness.
