I hope someone out there can help. I am at the last stage of my importation of my UK Car into Spain but it keeps failing the ITV (MOT) because of the directions of the beams. They say that I need to change the whole fittings which honda here have quoted me at around €700. I have heard that the directions on the headlamps can be switched through use of a beam deflectors or a setting in the car can anyone help with this?

Please no lectures on brinign the car in the first place!!! with the recession in britain I ahd been trying to sell it for 2 years prior to bringing it!!

 

there are is a 8mm bolt on each headlamp that lets you adjust the headlight up and down. its one the inside and accessible from the engine bay area, though its not easy to get to.

 

What he is talking about is which direction the headlights beam pattern is directed, left to right. Not up and down.

So you are bringing a right hand drive car to a left hand drive country?

 

This would be my assumption as well.

To my knowledge you CANNOT modify the headlight lenses to do the opposite projection/reflection.
