Bucking at mid-RPMs
Ok here's the issue, maybe someone has an answer for me. The car idles fine and at cruising speed on the freeway(65-75) or accelerating it's also fine, the problem is when I'm driving along at cruising speed on regular roads(45-50) in 4th gear. The car will buck and sputter whenever the throttle is part open. It used to only do this when I was REALLY low on oil(only happened a couple of times). Now it's when ever I'm just going with the flow of traffic. I replaced the plugs and wires about a month ago and gave it an oil change, it's got oil. air filter is clean. There's a few ideas I have that it could be (fuel filter, injectors, spark timing) But I'm trying not to have to replace all those right now because I don't have the time currently. Has anyone out there had this problem before and found a cure?
i will try to clean the Idle Air control or IAC, it is usually on the right hand side of air intake, it needs cleaning, try to use the same stuff that we use for cleaning carburetor. on haynes book is in page 4.11 fuel and exhaust system
My car does the same thing, only at high vacuum (1/4th throttle or less), but thats because of my cam :X
