I got coolant in my cyliner
hey guys i just rebuilt my motor and theres coolant in the cylinders. i got the head shaved and pressure tested and it was good. got a new head gasket and all. idk whats wrong can someone plz help
did you use a honda head gasket? did you torque the head in the correct sequence? were your head bolts stretched? (i always replace them with new ones) were the head bolt threads stripped at all? some of the hondas have issues with this when the engine has been overheated. particularly the 1.7 and 1.6 honda engines and northstar engines. this is only in some cases also so keep in mind that you may not have this problem. was your block cracked anywhere? was the cylinder head deck warped?
Everything was tested and checked out good. i torqued the head down properly. brand new honda head gasket. the block is good. the weird thing is all 4 cylinders look exactly the same. there are not flooded with coolant but you can see that thier a little moist. spark plugs arnt wet either when they were pulled. do you think i might just have to run the car for a while?
same thing happened to me.rebuild my engine and had a lot of water in 4th cyl. i replaced the head gasket since then its fine.not sure why it happened but it did lol.
do you guys think theres somthing wrong with my torque wrench? i have the needle type. should i borrow one of my friends one? do you think maybe the head isnt getting torqued down right?
yeah i would get a new torque wrench. my grandpa used one with a needle but my snap on is more accurate
