Just wondering if these tires will fit a 15x7, +38 offset rim on my EG hatch? Let me know, thanks!

 

depending how low you are they should be just fine.

I'm not too low so I guess it should work. I'm going from 205/50/15 if that means anything. Anyone have pics of 195/55/15 on an EG?

 

Why not go 195/50/15? Its the CORRECT size for a 15in wheel for the EG. Heres mine if it helps.

 

Mmm, the problem is my tires just got slashed and I'm pretty desperate and don't have hundreds to spend on tires. A good deal came up for 195/55/15, so I thought I would ask.

 

I spent $248 on my Yokohama S. Drives, great tires. 55 is not bad though, I had 65s on there so I finally had a chance to upgrade them.

 

248$ isn't too bad, but I can't find anything that cheap around here. I'd be getting the 4 55's for 150$, 80% tread which I think is pretty good. Isn't it just a couple millimeter difference in sidewall size?

 

Yeah thats a really good price. Go for it. As for the size, its really not much of a difference. Its a good size, it wont rub.

the size is fine either 195/50 or 195/55, its all preference, the diff in speedos is like 1 or 2 %.

I'm more conserned with the 7" wide wheel? stock si wheels are 6.5" wide and my 195/50 fit exactly square to the rim.

my friends race car has the 7" wide rims and we're running 205/50 and they fit sqare to the rim, sometimes use 215/50 in the front with 7.5" wide rims

 

I've seen 15x7 on 195/55 for sale locally so I don't think it's much of a problem.

Says who? You? According to Honda, 195/55/15 is the CORRECT size for the EG6.

195/50 is more expensive than the 195/55 and 205/50 and the added sidewall of the 195/55 is important for better traction and protection of wheels.
