Default B16A2...VTEC NOT ENGAGING

Hey guys, I noticed today that the oil pressure sensor on my vtec solenoid had broke off (the green plug), I tried to superglue it back and vtec was still not kicking in. Then i searched on google and found that people with a jdm solenoid and usdm ecu's bypass the oil pressure sensor by jumping the blue wire from the oil sensor plug and the green/yellow wire together. I did that as well and vtec is still not engaging...

I need your help guys

Ya I would just replace it too. Maybe check your local junkyard if you want to save money. Vtec solenoids off of sohc vtec motors are same so if you find one it'll be good and cheap for u.

Ok, I just checked the solenoid it self and it IS working

Bypass wiring to bypass the oil pressure sensor IS wired right

I checked for codes and it is NOT throwing any

The VSS IS working

There IS oil pressure

There is NO dent in my oil pan

and vtec is still NOT engaging....

any ideas guys?

I'm checking for codes again right now and I dont know how to read this ****

I get 6 quick flashes

then 1 long flash

then i get 2 long flashes back to back followed with 2 quick flashes

Does that mean I have a 6, a 10 , and a 22??

cause the 10 is for the AIT, and 22 is for vtec pressure

so that's for the vtec oil pressure right?

I'm picking a used one now for $30, you think i should get it?

I believe it depends on the ecu that you're running, i know that JDM vtec solenoids doesnt even have the oil pressure sensor.

i hate my car, so i drove to the boondocks to get a used solenoid. I unplugged the solenoid plug from my car as well as the oil pressure plug and plugged it in the one i was buying, just to make sure. They all fit great, i resetted the ecu and code 6 and 22 are gone. I got on it and guess what.....vtec is working again

AFTER i went out to la la land to get a used solenoid

I had an IAC (idle air controller) code and vtec still worked. Make sure the other metrics work as well. Vtec is quite simple as far as what is required to make it work.
