Why cant i hit vtec
ok so my car was wired some crazy way with 2 power wires to the oil pressure switch. so i went ahead and changed out the whole silniod with one that came off a running motor and got a different pressure switch from a running motor.i also rewired the thing as well with the power going to a4, and the green wire from the rainbow harrness(WITCH IS THE GROUND ON THE SILINIOD FROM WHAT IM TOLD) threw a wire to a bolt grounding it out, should the ground be running from d6 to the green or can the siniod ground it self out....THE REASON I DID IT LIKE THIS IS CUZ A FRIEND TOLD ME TO DO IT LIKE THAT...am i doing some thing wrong

If OBD1...
A4- Vtec Solenoid.
D6- Goes to pressure switch (blue/black wire) (Other wire ground like i said above)

ok so i woke up and went to look how i have it and wired and pinned and yes siliniod(single black wire) goes to d6 and the pressure switch power wire goes to a4 and the other is grounded to a bolt.i also changed out the pressure switch again.took it for a drive got it to temp and it pulls real good, i cant even keep traction, but i dnt hear the switch over and i have a code 22(pressure switch).i read somewhere that the y8 head has a less noticeable engagement of vtec. is the there a possibility that im still hitting vtec.or am i messin sumthin up.

Less noticeable? As in you can't hear it, or you you don't feel it? My experiences with D series motors (z6 and y8) is the engaement is less than audible and the "pull" isn't abrupt like on a B/H series. I could be wrong, but that is just my .02 cents.
no your right about that.its just cuz my friends a6/z6 screams when it hits vtec ,but his a6 stock had a nice grunt and a yell(dnt know how else to discribe it).but onother friend who had not been in my car said it feels like it has a good pull in the top end....so i guess my real questoin now is,IS IT POSSIBLE THAT I AM ENGAGING WITH A CEL.code 22(pressure switch)
