Default OT: Since this IS the Metro-Atlantic forum...anyone know a lawyer?

I am in need of some legal help (traffic-related) in Fairfax county (VA).

Anyone know a good lawyer? Or even how to find one?

doesn't quite know where to begin

Not sure if he's still in the area, but for a time a lawyer named Jon Boneta worked in my Dad's Firm, he's a former cop, helped my dad with some tickets as well. Again, no idea if he's even still in the area....but it's a name to look for maybe. Good luck.

looks like he is:

If you can't find anyone recommended up there, two of the best down here are Joe McGrath (http://www.vatrafficcourtlawyer.com) who has saved the asses of at least 12 people I can name, as well as our own Stephen Harper (aka dented-rx7) who just last year got my "12 months no license!" reduced to "three months work-only driving".

Hope that helps,

Jon

Yeah, I'm not smart enough to take my own advice...since my license was essentially clean at the moment, I simply paid my speeding ticket (79/65) as well as 5 other "stupid" non-moving non-point tickets yesterday.

I'm getting my money's worth out of this pic!!

Not an FOP, though I do have one ... somewhere.

The one on the FL fender is a Deal's Gap "there be Dragons" sticker covering a fender ding someone gave me!!
Somewhat fitting after "surviving" the Gap,when others did not!

He gave me tickets for window tint and a radar detector!
Not even a speeding ticket that time.
Notice, my hands were not in cuffs or anything, and he even allowed me to take that pic and another one or two. LOL

A few weeks earlier I got the other four tickets (including the above mentioned speeder), as well as a detector, no front plate, exhaust and .... oh, that's it.

I was street racing in a residential neighborhood in suburban VA and I ran over some children in one of those silly school crosswalk thingies. Wanna lock it now?

Thanks Jon and ED for your help.

Ross - who thinks kids should watch out when they cross the street

I'd have thought one of the kiddo's would have been sliced and diced by that Mugen rear wing after bouncing off the hood!

I hope you're kidding. Killing kids just isn't funny.

ED, you'd be surprised at how resilient those little brats are. Not like the old people I took out while visiting Florida, that was like slicing filet mignon. I think maybe painting the aluminum portion of the wing dulls its edge a little bit, so perhaps you should leave yours unpainted.
