How much my car worth?
I am not trying to sell my car on here, just wondering how much it is worth. Looking at sell my project car. I would like to get as close to what I spend on it. Which was like $3500 thanks! it is a 1996 honda civic hatachback dx
- Engine: 10/10 Runs like a champ for having 180,000 miles on it. I get 39 mpg mostly city and some highway
- Interior: Interior is ok. Seats are good, carpet is good (little dirty), dash is good, only bad thing is that the back has no speakers and it is rusty (but it can be cleaned and once I clean it I’ll edit this post).
- Exterior: Red paint. The front end is ok. The bumper is cracked, fenders are dented, and hood has dents. The body has some dents too, roof and some of the side. The rear bumper is starting off a little. I had to change out the exhaust because when I got but it, it had a leak so I bought a ebay N1 style exhaust and put it on there. The exhaust it touching the bumper and since the rear bumper is bad I didn’t bother to fix it. Where the exhaust is touching the bumper is melting. The frame is NOT damaged at all. So, if you are willing to do a 99-00 front end conversion and bondo the dents and paint, the car will be fine. It was like this when I bought the car.
- Stereo & Nav: stock
- Suspension: KSport Kontrol Pro with custom spring rates 14k front/12k rear installed a couple of weeks ago. Don’t flame me for this because this is my DD/track car and it isn’t that bad for DD. If you don’t want them, I will install the stock ones and take off $675
The Good: CLEAN title, no frame damage, it is a hatchback, engine runs perfect 39 MPG mostly city!!!. Did all the maintenance (oil/filter change, tranny fluid change, new spark plugs, compression test is good 160 all around, coolant, clutch), has KSport Kontrol Pro coilovers brand new, new exhaust, new short ram intake form ebay (better than stock), Si cluster with 117,xxx miles on it (I will take off $60 if you want the stock one on, but the stock one has a bad fuel gauge), I have new Brembo blanks and Stoptec sport pads ready to be installed (haven’t installed them yet because I am waiting to buy ATE Super Blue racing fluid, once I install them I will update the post),.
The Bad: like I said above, the exterior and interior. The doors to the car now have bad windows. They don’t roll up and down properly. So I bought two doors that are silver and are ready to be installed. They were $120. The driver door does have a dent on it, but since the car would like a paint, just bondo it and paint. And just change out the locks to use the same key when you install it. The 5th gear grinds when you shift into it at RPMs of 3k or above. I double clutch and and the RPM down to 2k and shift to prevent grind. I was planning to swap out the engine so this really doesn’t bother me. The stock radio is from a EG civic so when you turn off the car, presets are reset, a little annoying but if you install another deck it will be fine

Well what did you expect? It is a 14 year old Honda and it has dents all over the place, the window regulator is f*cked up, and the hatch area looks like sh*t. At least wash it real good and clean up the interior if you really want to try and sell this thing. But hell, I think this car in mint condition isn't even worth what you were thinking. Maybe if it were midori.
Good luck dude.

LOL! That's what I'm saying. I have a midori too, and I paid $5k for it 7 years ago, and it was in damn near perfect condition as well.
