hi i was just wondering if anyone here can give me more info about 96-00 honda civics with manual rack conversions.

my car currently is a power steering rack and pinion and i want to change it to a manual rack and pinion.

i know the 96-00 civic hatchback cx models came with manual rack. reason why i ask is because theres a seller on ebay selling a manual rack and pinion for my car. just wondering if it would be a bolt on procedure. just take my old power steering rack out and put in the new manual rack? anyone done does before? do i need anything else other than the manual rack?

ive tried searching many times but all i keep finding are 92-95 civic and 94-01 integra's

I have 96 with the manual it was already installed when I got the car though. Why are you looking to go manual rather than power steering.

 

i dont ever plan on having powersteering thats why. i wouldnt mind looping it or making a breather kit. but i am limited on resources and i cant even make a breather kit because where i live they dont sell a lot of fasteners i may need
