I bought a obd1 gsr motor to rebuild it and put it in my 00 sir (usdm si) And the goal is to achieve 11-12.0 compression. I don't want to break the bank, work is slow spending's tight. Does anybody know of some decent setups that will provide me with what I'm striving for?

Yes sir I want to refrain from chopping the car all up with a turbo setup. Like I said, moneys tight.

 

u can get some p30 pistons with ctr or itr cams.
or try some blox cams

 

If I do put those cams and pistons, how important is it to upgrade valve train and fueling?

 

fueling isn't so key if you're not making high hp...

as for the valvetrain. if you upgrade your cams they're gonna make power past the stock redline. either dont go past it or upgrade your valvetrain to reap the full benefits of a cam.

 

Okay. If I wanted to do valves, springs, and retainers, whose the best bang for your buck manufacturer?
