Default For those of you who have experience with a Megan Racing Header

Somewhat off topic, but I am working on a swap for my EG. I got this K20A2 swap and it had one of those Megan Racing headers on it. Since its from an RSX-S, Im pretty dang sure that header is not going to fit in my EG. What I was thinking is modding or making my own downpipe and using the upper part of the Megan header. I have not seen this done, but Im thinking I can make that work. I would like to buy a nice header, but other things have came along and drained money and now I am cutting corners so to speak.

My question is, what type of power have others with this header made? I did some searching but never saw anyone post up any dyno plots or #'s when using this cheap header. I figured I would ask in this forum since it was originaly designed for the RSX.

I know its not the best thing out there, but what can you do when the $$$ isnt there to buy a $800 header........

So what type of power did it make over stock?

Not much without a tune i would say maybe 10hp if that...I mean can't expect that much of a gain without a tune. And then with tuning there is so many factors and variables as far as results so yea...Like i said though Kidd racing is the way to go...

I know without a tune, I wouldnt think it would make any power at all really. I just want someone to chime in with real world results of what this header actually did for their setup. If it hurt, helped, didnt make a difference either way........I know a nicer header typically is going to provide a better outlet for power to be made. Im not interested in that, I have been at this for a long time and know enough to hurt myself, Ive actually been on this board since it started. I just want to know what type of results people have actually gotten on a K series engine with this cheap Megan Racing header.

Well it is a little better flowing compared to the stock header, I tuned my car on a safe tune and i achieved higher numbers than i was expecting with the header. I might go for a more aggressive tune though down the road but we'll see im happy with where its at as it is...
