1988 Honda CRX; safe tire and wheel size
I drive a 1988 Honda CRX Si and have these wheels that I'm getting tires for.
The wheels are 17 inches diameter and 7 inches wide. I know that 205 40 R17 will fit the wheels, but I'm concerned about the tire width. Would they perhaps be too wide to where they rub the suspension?
I'm sure I won't have to worry about the tires rubbing the wheel wells since my ride height is the same as stock.

I'd hate to have to bump this thread, especially since I am a noobie poster.
I got a great quote on tires and I'm going to be calling the guy today about the tires, but I want to make sure that the wheel and tire width don't become a problem.

I test fitted them and that's why I raised the question about the suspension because in the back it looks really close. I still would have to get an alignment and I Am sure that the caster and camber kit will help out a little bit.
I know that the ones in front have a good chance of rubbing the wheel well but I Am sure I can modify the wells so they don't rub as much, however I may not solve that problem with the transmission on my b16a2 motor under the hood.
