Default 2000 Civic Si

Wanting to trade my immaculate 2000 Civic Si for an Integra... probably a GSR. Car has 66,000 miles and is in pretty much perfect condition. Whose had both? What are some thoughts?

1st off, this is not the correct forum for a topic like this.

2nd, why would you trade for an Integra? Just swap in a B18C shortblock into the civic and you will have the extra power. The 99-00 Civic Si is much more rare than the Integra chassis

Not officially putting it up for sale or trade yet deetz so I think this is the right place. The market-place is for the official trading and sales which i'm not commited to yet. Just looking for some input. If I missed the forum for thinking about trading let me know.

I'd say it depends on the condition of the GSR. Anyways pick what you want. SI's are overrated. More rare, but overrated. They're both good cars.

I wouldn't say the car is...only the B16 powering it. Really, that's the only thing people complain about.

i would say integra with type r front end.
or the dc5 type s.
not a fan of the little circle lights on the regular dc2.

SI is a nice car, gsr block would be nice with that b16 tranny.

I'm not going to complain about the glorious rumbling howl of my EM1 SiR's B16 powerplant. Those tegs are pretty sweet too though

Why do you want to trade?

Body style preference ? or motor setup ?

If its motor setup, its a honda. Lego is harder to assemble.

Save up and build/buy another motor/transmission combo and then sell your current one. you will probably be only out $ 600-$1200 to swap in a GSR motor combo ( after selling yours, I would keep the b16 transmission though. )

Both have their styling benefits. If you want a integra sell/trade yours.

if you want the power, the EM1 will do great with the swapping parts.

i had a 1995 integra type r when i lived in japan. owned it for three years. small backseat and less legroom for the driver if your tall like me 6'2". now i have a black 2000 si and i totally love it. bigger backseat, if you know what i mean and the shape is way cleaner, rarer and more legroom in the front. the b16 it has is pretty snappy and really good on the freeway.

on side not, A buddy went through something similar. he saved for a year to buy the em1, then got it. Turned out his girl like cars with leather. So he was selling to buy an integra gsr with leather.

Well he got lucky and found the front and rear seats and swapped them and never looked back with his em1 for a few years ( till it got stolen when he went to the theaters ).

Trade for an excellent condition BB6 prelude vtec instead! I posted in your for sale thread as well, Im sorry to bother you but your car caught my eye especially with the low miles. If by any chance you are interested let me know, although not quite as rare my prelude is very very clean, a 2001, and a lot quicker than any semi stock em1..
