obd1 convertion no start help...
i just did an obd0 to obd1 conversion i got spark i think i got fuel working cuz i can hear the pump and i put enough fuel but it dont start i have a b16a obd1 jdm pr3 ecu chipped with xenocron basemap before i did the convertion the car turned on fine im not sure if i need a resistor box i deleted it and the car turned on fine before but i dont know if i have to have the resistor box for obd1??? anyone have any ideas
im using an obd2 dizzy converted to obd1 i got spark injectors im not sure they came with my jdm b16 obd0 unless i wired the dizzy wrong but i do have spark???ill double check firing order
before i did the obd1 convertion it turned on so i dont think the map and tps are mixed
and im not sure about the wires on the dizzy i do have spark
story on dizzy its obd2 with the obd2 clip but it has same wire colors as obd1...

grounds are good i painted my engine bay so maybe the one for the tranny is not so good ill try diff place

nothing still now when i try to start it every couple of seconds it makes a small cloud of fire on the headers....i only have the headers bolted on....its driving me nuts it has spark and fuel
im going to recheck wiring on the dizzy im going to take it all apart and make sure everything is ok wire by wire even if i have spark.....urhhhhh if anyone has any ideas let me know
I rechecked the wiring on the dizzy and its good rechecked the wiring on ecu and looks fine but still no start im beggining to think its the injectors but any input is still needed
To check if you have Fuel...spray Carb Cleaner or Brake Clean in the INTAKE MANIFOLD for 2 Second (with Throttle Body open) and then start the car...if it fires and runs for a couple of seconds, you have spark but no fuel.

well I tried everything so im just switching it back to obd0 sense I cant figure it out for now witch sucks cuz that means no vtec for me and motor will run like **** sense I dont have knock sensor....
obd0 injectors you need the resistor box. obd1 injectors you delete the resistor box and wire it accordingly. but i guess you have obd1 since you stated that you have stated the car as obd0 without the resistor box..

im having to same problem with my poor mans type r swap in my crx..it turned on fine before i did the conversion and now it cranks but wont start..i knw i got spark cuz it shock the hell out of me..lol and there is fuel going to the fuel rail..im using obs-0 injectors with a resistor box..im going to try the brake cleaner..sorry for thread jackin but i wanna knw whats up..
never mind..i tryed the brake cleaner and it started for about 5 seconds but shut off..so im geussing that the injectors aint opening up..what can i do now??

I know the ls dizzy is not the right thing to do but that was only for now and I know ls dizzy work you just have to advance it and cut the ears closest to the headers
I had spark and i could hear the lines feeding fuel to the engine and also did a pressure release at the gas filter so see if i was getting fuel and it was.
right now my motor is on and running but its on obd0
