Default Need help ASAP

Hey fellas. Here is the deal. I bought and 88 HF Rex last week. While driving it back home I had stopped to get something to drink. When I jumped back in the car I put it and nothing. I look underneth and everything is still connected. So while idling I find out I was able to put the car in gear with out even pressing in the clutch. So I get it towed to my buddy's house

A friend of mine gives me another HF tranny and we swap it along with a better looking clutch. We fill up the tranny with 10w-40 and start it up and nothing. The exact same thing. Put it in gear and nothing. And I can still go through the gears without the clutch.

I thought maybe the clutch line was loose (and it does feel like that) but that would not explain why I can put it in gear. I really need to get that car out of my friends garage because he is going off to UTI next month. So any help would be awsome. Thats you guys.

Look at the clutch pedal, these will break from time to time

Yeah we were starting to assume that. The reason is because when I got the car it had some kind of weird looking clamp holding the line together. Its holding the threads where you turn to tighten the line at near the bracket. The "screw" part broke in half. I looked on Majestic Honda for a clutch line but I couldn't find it. I'm going to call Honda tomorrow in btween class and see if they have it. I know that Inline Four sells them but it posted as for B-Series swap and I'm not sure if it will fit for D-series. If not I have 2 other donor EF's to pintch it from.

Honda does sell them. I went there between classes and they are about $75. After giving up on it, mainly cause I put the tranny in it twice in one day, I thought about it and asked around and I'm thinking its the clutch cable. It would seem like its doing the samething if I had pressed the clutch in. And while looking at it there was this little clamp thing that someone had put on it where you tighten/lossen it at and I just took it off without even thinking. Tomorrow I'm going to disconnect it and see if I can still put it in gear without depressing the clutch. If it grinds then that is the problem
